This popular ball sport originated from the ancient ‘Jeu de Paume’ which literally translates to ‘Game of Palm’. Originally played using one’s hand, the game is also played with a basket covering the hand or, more commonly, a racquet. Although the way in which the game is played has evolved over the years, there is one element that has never changed, the courts are always built next to a bar.
